It's currently 4:50 AM and I'm sitting in my bed watching MTV. My allergies have really been bothering me so I broke down and bought some Zyrtec but now I can't sleep and my stomach's upset. I took it a couple hours before bed because it usually makes me drowsy.
I'm a huge music video fan and in the wee hours of the morning MTV actually plays music. Rhianna's Stay is currently playing. You already know how I feel about her so I won't even go there.
Any who... I have been neglecting you guys lately and I'm sorry. For those of you doing the Bikini Challenge we are already half way there! Check out the workout page for your workout.
I'm going to be doing the 10 day Advocare Cleanse again so if you are interested in doing it with me leave a comment here with your email address and I'll send you more information. This time I'm going to be prepared and not cheat. I mean it's only 10 days. I can make it 10 days without sugar... It won't be pretty but I'll make it!
I guess I should actually try to go back to sleep... tomorrow isn't going to be fun...

Dinner date
I want to take the time and thank you for visiting my blog. Yesterday I almost hit 100 page views. That is absolutely amazing. Keep sharing this blog with your friends, family, co-workers, anyone and everyone! My hope is to inspire each of you to live healthier lives.
Last night I went on a dinner date with my roommate Emily. Emily is in the running for most blogged about friend. GO EMILINA! Anyways... we went to this restaurant called Ketchup at the National Harbour in DC. This was my first time at the National Harbour and I definitely plan on going back... Ketchup not so much.
Ketchup is an American style restaurant that takes childhood favorites and gives them and upscale twist. Prior to our date I did a little research and was very excited to give Ketchup a try, mainly because anyone who serves sweet potato fries is ok with me.
Our reservation was at 7:30 so I left softball practice around 7. Once I made my way down to the Harbour I took a little stroll along the water. The sun was setting which made for a great photo op. After instagraming a photo I stopped by South Moon Under and copped some gold hoops which I have been wanting for awhile now.
I then headed over to the restaurant. When I walked in there was about 20 people waiting for a table. I told the hostess about our reservation and she then had to check with her manager. I'm not sure what she had to ask him about but he came over and told her to take me to the table.
I was so thirst from softball practice I couldn't wait for the waiter to come take a drink order. Unfortunately he didn't come. Emily arrived 5 minutes later. He still didn't come for another 10 minutes. I don't know what it is but when ever the two of us go out to eat we always have terrible service. It's like we're cursed. We have learned that whenever the wait staff decides to visit our table the first time to just order everything at once or else we'll die of starvation/dehydration.
I hate that I use to wait tables because I hold each serve to high standards. People go out to eat for an experience. Never mind... I'm not going to go down this road.... Here's what we ordered: *keep in mind that we had a Living social deal $25 for $50 so we had to order a lot ;)
2 Waters w/ Lemon (DUH!)
Asparagus Fries
Crab cake Mac & Cheese
Fish Tacos w/ fry trio (garlic & Parmesan, old bay (duh duh), and sweet potato)
Buffalo Burger w/ fry trio (sweet potato, and I forget the other two)
So obviously this wasn't a paleo meal for me. We asked for the asparagus fries and crab cake mac & cheese to come out first. After waiting 25 minutes a food runner approached our table with a "wrap and burger". UGH! Dude... if you run food you should probably know what the food looks like..
While our server was at the table beside ours he told them their asparagus fries and crab mac & cheese would be right out. They looked at him like he was crazy and then he looked at me and realized he had the wrong table. A few moments later another food runner came out with our apps which could barely fit on the table. Emily suggested we get a drink. I didn't hesitate and asked our server for a drink list. Here's how the conversation went:
Me: Could we see the drink list?
Server: UGHHHHHHH it's being edited sooo ummm whatever drink you want we can make.
Me: rolls eyes
Emily: What is your house white wine?
Server: Yeah ughh (insert some name here)
Emily: Ok I'll have a glass of that.
Me: And what kind of wine is that?
Server: mumble mumble Chardonnay
Me: Sure. I'll have a glass too!
He then takes a few steps and turns back and stares at me. I look back at him and ask if he would like to see ID... and he lets me know yes because it's spring break. Our wine gets poured 10 minutes later and sits on the bar for just about as long. At this time we are finished eating and I'm ready to go home since I have to open the next day. Once we chug our wine we pay our bill and dipset. Needless to say I give Ketchup -2 stars. Sorry I'm not sorry.
